In a manner analogous to that describe in Example 1(A)(iv), from 1.9 g of 2(RS)-[[(RS)-(ethoxy)(phthalimidomethyl)phosphinyl]methyl]-4-methylvaleric acid and 1.0 g of (-)-3-amino-2-azacyclotridecanone, there were obtained 2.1 g of 2(RS)-[[(RS)-(ethoxy)(phthalimidomethyl)phosphinyl]methyl]-4-methyl-N(R or S)-(2-oxoazacyclotridecan-3-yl)valeramide in the form of a white solid.
