Procedure
A mixture of 4-chloro-3-(2,4-dichloro-5-hydroxyphenyl)-1-methyl-5-methylthio-1H-pyrazole (3.50 g, 10.8 mmoles), 50 ml acetone, anhydrous K2CO3, and ethyl 2-bromopropionate (2.06 g, 11.4 mmoles) was subjected to reaction under reflux for 2 hours. Then the resulting solution was filtered to remove acetone-insoluble matter, and the filtrate was concentrated and purified by silica gel column chromatography, give the title compound as oily substance; Yield 70.0 nD(28.8° C.): 1.5763.
