Reaction Steps
A culture medium containing 100 g of glucose, 40 g of (NH4)2SO4, 1 g of KH2PO4, 0.4 g of MgSO4.7H2O, 10 mg of FeSO4.7H2O, 10 mg of MnSO4.4H2O, 1 g of "Casamino acid", 300 microgram/l of biotin, 200 microgram/l of thiamine.HCl, 5 g of serine, 5 g of anthranilic acid and 50 g of CaCO3 in 1 l of water and having a pH value of 7.0 was used for the culture. Each the strains was inoculated into 3 ml of the above-mentioned culture medium placed in a test tube and then cultured at 30° C. for 70 hours with shaking. L-tryptophan in the supernatant of the culture liquid obtained by centrifugation after the culture was determined by a liquid chromatography.
