Reaction Steps
3.5 g of 2-nitro-3-hydroxy-6-methylpyridine in 50 ml of methanol are placed under hydrogen pressure in the presence of one gram of palladinized charcoal. The mixture is stirred and filtered. The methanol is evaporated.
