To a solution of 2-oxo-2-phenyl-N-[2-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-ethyl]-N-(6-trifluoromethyl-pyridin-3-yl)-acetamide (46 mg, 0.1 mmol) in EtOH (2 mL) was added hydroxylamine hydrochloride (14 mg, 0.2 mmol) and 2,6-lutidine (32 mg, 0.3 mmol) and the mixture stirred at ambient temperature for 36 h then concentrated and redissolved in EtOAc (5 mL), washed with 10% aqueous citric acid (3×5 mL), dried over Na2SO4, filtered, then purified by chromatography (SiO2, heptane:ethyl acetate=95:5 to 50:50) to afford the title compound (22 mg, 46%) as a white solid. MS m/e: 480.3 [M+H]+.
