Reaction Steps
Similar to the preparation of 4′-(carbmethoxymethoxy)-5,6,7-trimethoxyflavone, the title compound is prepared from a suspension of 5,6-dihydroxy-4′,7-dimethoxyflavone (628 mg, 2 mmol), ethyl bromoacetate (367 mg, 2.2 mmol), and anhydrous potassium carbonate (0.5 g) in acetone (50 ml).
