In analogy to the procedure described in example 1I, (S)-4-hydroxy-2-[7-oxo-4-(3-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-[1,4]diazepan-1-yl]-butyric acid methyl ester gave a mixture of 4-((S)-2-oxo-tetrahydro-furan-3-yl)-1-(3-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-[1,4]diazepan-5-one (ca 5-10%) and the title compound in 97% yield as orange oil. MS: 373.1 (MH+).
