Procedure
300 mg of 1-(6-nitro-2,3-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxalin-1-yl)methanephosphonic acid is dissolved in 60 mg of methanol and combined under nitrogen in succession with 50 mg of Pd/C (10%), 300 mg of ammonium formate, and 18 ml of water, and heated for one hour to 80° C. After cooling, the mixture is filtered off from the catalyst, the filtrate is concentrated by evaporation, and the residue is freeze-dried, thus obtaining 200 mg of 1-(6-amino-2,3-dioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxalin-1-yl)methanephosphonic acid in the form of a white solid.
