Procedure
A solution of N-butyloxycarbonyl-2-(3-acetoxy1-phenylpropyl)aniline (1.39 g, 3.7 mmol) in CHCl3 -TFA (1:1/10 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 20 minutes. The reaction mixture was neutralised with saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate solution (30 ml), extracted with DCM (3×30 ml) and the extracts dried (MgSO4). Filtration and evaporation of the solvent gave the product. (939 mg, 94%)
