Procedure

4-[3-[4-(2-methylimidazol-1-yl)phenylthio]phenyl]-3,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-carboxamide (39 mg, 0.1 mmol) and fumaric acid (12 mg, 0.1 mmol) were dissolved in methanol (3 ml). After stirring for 10 min, volatiles were removed by evaporation and the resulting residue recrystallized from 2-propanol to give the titled compound (40 mg, 78%) as white solids. mp: 183.5-184.9° C.
