Procedure
2.75 ml of a 4N solution of hydrogen chloride in dioxane were added to a solution of 3.18 g of 3-(2-hydroxy-3-morpholinopropoxy)-4-methyl-5-phenylisozazole (prepared as described in Example 5) in 50 ml of ethanol, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. At the end of this time, the crystalline substance which deposited was recrystallized from ethanol, to give 3.20 g (yield 90.4%) of the title compound as colorless granules, melting at 189°-191° C. (with decomposition).
