Compound (10) (1.13 g, 1.47 mmol) was hydrogenated in CH3OH (150 mL) and 0.1N HCl (16.2 mL, 1.62 mmol) with 10% Pd-C. (0.6 g) by the procedure used for [A]. Purification by Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography with 20% EtCH/toluene as the eluant produced 0.508 g (64%) of [A] as a colorless solid: NMR (CD3OD) δ 0.90 (t, 3 H, J=6), 1.17-1.87 (m, 28 H), 2.33-2.63 (m, 6 H), 2.92 (t, 2 H, J=6), 3.60 (t, 6 H, J=6 ).
