Reaction Steps
The N-[2-cyano-3-(1-piperidinyl)phenyl]-1-(4-methoxyphenylmethyl)-1H-tetrazole-5-carboxamide was prepared in the usual manner as illustrated in Example I from 2-(1-piperidinyl)-6-aminobenzonitrile and 1-p-methoxybenzyl-5-tetrazolecarbonylchloride in the presence of pyridine. The product was recrystallized from acetonitrile, m.p. 166°-168° C.
