To a solution of the product of Procedure 97 (2.4 g., 0.0068 mole) in 0.1N NaOH (85 ml.), iodomethane (1.94 g., 0.0136 mole) was added and the mixture stirred at room temperature for 16 hrs. The insolubles were collected and recrystallized from methoxyethanol to give 1.3 g. of product, m.p. 296°-297°.
