Procedure

4.8 g. of diethyl 6-[3,6-dihydro-1(2H)-pyridyl]-s-triazin-2,4-dicarbamate-3-oxide are mixed with 100 ml. of absolute dimethylformamide and stirred at 140° C. for 30 minutes. The solvent is then evaporated off under reduced pressure and the residue is recrystallized from methylene chloride and diethyl ether, there being obtained pure ethyl 5-[3,6-dihydro-1(2H)-pyridyl]-2-oxo-2H-[1,2,4]oxadiazolo[2,3-a]-s-triazine-7-carbamate having a melting point of 220°-225° C. (decomposition).
