In a manner similar to the preparation of the (S)-2-(2-benzoylphenylamino)-3-[3′-(3-heptyl-1-methylureido)biphenyl-4-yl]propionic acid (Example 2), using 300 mg (0.53 mmol) of ethyl (S)-2-(2-{3′-[(benzoyl-methylamino)methyl]biphenyl-4-yl}-1-ethoxycarbonylethylamino)benzoate (Example 32) and 300 mg (7.14 mmol) of lithium hydroxide, 200 mg of (S)-2-(2-{3′-[(benzoyl methylamino)methyl]biphenyl-4-yl}-1-carboxyethylamino)-benzoic acid are obtained with a 74% yield.
