Procedure
A solution of benzyl-(2S)-4,4-difluoro-2-(4-{[(4-fluorobenzyl)amino]carbonyl}-5-hydroxy-1-methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydropyrimidin-2-yl)pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate in MeOH was treated with Pd/C 10% wt (10% w/w) for 3 hours at room temperature under H2 atmosphere. The mixture was filtrated over a celite pad, concentrated in vacuo and treated with trifluoroacetic acid (10 eq.). The acid in excess was removed in vacuo to obtain title product as a pale yellow solid after trituration with ethyl ether.
