A solution of 156 mg (1.46 mmol) of (R)-2-(tetrazolo[1,5-a]pyrid-6-yl)oxirane and 170 ml of 2-amino-2-methyl-4-(2-hydroxyphenyl)butane in 15 ml of absolute ethanol is heated at reflux for 6 hours. The reaction mixture is concentrated and the residue chromatographed on silica gel to give the desired product.
