Reaction Steps
To a solution of 2.8 g (12.4 mmol) of 4-[2-(diethylamino)ethoxy]benzenamine dissolved in 30 mL of acetonitrile cooled to 0° C. add 2.6 g (15 mmol) of methanesulfonic anhydride. Stir the reaction mixture for 4 h at ambient temperature. Remove the solvent in vacuo and recrystallize the residue from acetonitrile/ethyl acetate to obtain the title compound.
