Procedure

The title compound was prepared by the general procedure described above for Preparations 2a-i using 2-amino-4-chloro-6-allylanisole (18 g), NaNO2 (9.02 g), and SnCl2.2H2O(3.48 g). Workup gave 16 g (82%) of (3-allyl-5-chloro-2-methoxyphenyl)hydrazine which was used without further purification.
