To a solution consisting of (3-tert-butyl-2-methoxy-5-methylphenyl)chlorodimethylsilane (5.24 g) synthesized in the above described (3) and tetrahydrofuran (50 ml) was added tetramethylcyclopentadienyl lithium (2.73 g) at −35° C., and the mixture was warmed to room temperature during 2 hours and stirred further at room temperature for 10 hours.
