N-[5-(5-methyl-2-thienyl)thiophene-2-sulfonyl]pyrrole was prepared in the same manner as described in Example 32C from 2-methyl-thiophene-5-boronic acid and N-(5-bromothiophene-2-sulfonyl)pyrrole. Purification by column chromatography using 2% ether/hexanes gave the pure sulfonamide in 72% yield as a white solid.
