Trans-4-hydroxycyclohexylamine (23 g) was dissolved in 1,4-dioxane (360 ml) and water (360 ml), and cooled at 0° C. Aqueous 5 N sodium hydroxide solution (160 ml) and benzyl chloroformate (72 ml) were added to the reaction liquid successively, then restored to room temperature and stirred for 64 hours. The white solid formed in the reaction system was collected by filtration, then successively washed with water and ethyl acetate, and dried at 50° C. under reduced pressure to obtain the entitled compound (32.3 g) as a white solid.
