Procedure
1-Chloro-6-(4-chlorobenzenesulfonylamino)isoquinoline (50 mg, Synthetic Example 61b) and a 40% methylamine methanol solution (5.0 ml) were heated at 130° C. in a sealed tube for 18 hours. After cooling as it was, an aqueous saturated sodium bicarbonate was added thereto, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with brine and dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate. After evaporating the solvent, the residue was purified by silica gel column, to give the title compound (28 mg, 52%) as a pale yellow solid.
