The solution of compound of Example 15c (3.7 g, 9.7 mmol) in DMF (100 mL) was added to a suspension of activated Raney Nickel (3.7 g) in DMF (10 mL) and was subjected to hydrogenation at 50 psi pressure at 25° C. for 6 h. The reaction mixture was filtered using celite bed and the solvent was removed. The crude product obtained was purified by column chromatography (silica gel, methanol/chloroform) to obtain the title compound. Yield: 2.5 g, (74%); 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 300 MHz): δ 2.56 (s, 3H, CH3), 3.84 (s, 3H, OCH3), 4.61 (q, 2H, CH2), 5.5 (s, 2H, NH2), 6.61 (s, 2H, Ar), 7.97 (s, 1H, Ar); MS: m/e (EI) 351 (M+).
