A solution of the product of Example 2B (3.5 g, 5.5 mmol) in dichloromethane (40 mL) was treated with trifluoroacetic acid (20 mL), stirred at 25° C. for 1 hour, and concentrated. The concentrate was partitioned between ethyl acetate and saturated NaHCO3 solution. The organic phase was washed with brine, dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated to afford the crude product (3.19 g).
