Reaction Steps
A solution of 5 (200 mg, 1 mmol) in DMF (10 ml) is brought to reflux for 1 h. After evaporating the solvent, the crude product (280 mg) is purified by chromatography on silica gel (Et2O/MeOH, 93:7). Product 19 (Rf=0.36, Et2O/MeOH, 92:8) is obtained in the form of a yellow solid (81 mg, 40%).
