A solution of 0.21 g of benzyl 3-[4-(3-methoxypropyl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-benzo[1,4]oxazin-6-ylmethoxy]-4-{4-[3-(toluene-4-sulphonyloxy)propoxy]phenyl}piperidine-1-carboxylate, 0.140 g of triethylamine and 1.892 g of dimethylamine (33% in ethanol) is stirred at room temperature for 3 days and then concentrated by evaporation. The title compound is obtained as a yellowish oil from the residue by means of flash chromatography (SiO2 60F). Rf=0.21 (200:10:1 dichloromethane-methanol-conc. ammonia); Rt=4.49.
