To a solution of 5-[2,2-dimethyl-6-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-ylcarbamoyl)-2,3-dihydro-benzofuran-4-yloxy]-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (179) (524 mg, 1.24 mmol) in 10 mL THF was added 2 mL 1 N aqueous NaOH. The mixture was heated at 60° C. for 1 hr, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was acidified to pH˜1 with 1N aqueous HCl, filtered, washed with water, and dried under vacuum at 60° C. overnight to give an off-white solid (400 mg, 79% yield). 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 10.74 (br. s., 1 H) 8.51 (br. s., 2 H) 7.97-8.17 (m, 1 H) 7.46-7.64 (m, 2 H) 7.23 (br. s., 2 H) 6.54 (br, s, 1 H) 3.76 (s, 3 H) 2.91 (s, 2 H) 1.44 (s, 6 H); LCMS for C21H20N4O5 m/z 409.20 (M+H+).
