Palladium on carbon (108 mg) was added to a solution of 4-(1-benzhydryl-azetidin-3-yloxy)-2,2-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-benzofuran-6-carboxylic acid methyl ester (193b) (740 mg, 1.67 mmol) in 1:1 EtOAc and MeOH. The mixture was stirred under H2 balloon overnight. The mixture was filtered through Celite and concentrated to give a pale yellow solid (526 mg, 100% yield). LCMS for C15H19NO4 m/z 278.10 (M+H)+.
