Procedure
0.2 mmol of ethane-1,2-diamine and 1 mmol of MnO2 are added to a solution of 0.1 mmol of 3-(1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3-yl)-1H-indol-5-ol (prepared analogously to Example 1.1 to 1.2 by reaction of 5-hydroxy-1H-indole with 3-quinuclidinone followed by hydrogenation) in 2 ml of DMF, and the mixture is stirred at room temperature for 18 hours. The suspension is filtered through Celite and subjected to conventional work-up, giving 9-(1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3-yl)-7H-pyrrolo[3,2-f]quinoxaline; ESI 279.
