{2-[4-(Methyl-phenyl-carbamoyloxy)-phenyl]-ethyl}-carbamic acid tertbutyl ester(3.7 g; 10 mmol) from above was dissolved in CH2Cl2 (90 mL). Addition of TFA (6 mL) and stirring for 4 h. The reaction mixture was evaporated to dryness and dried in vacuo at 50° C. overnight producing the title compound as a TFA salt in quantitative yield as yellow hygroscopic crystals.
