Procedure

The product from Example 193A (11 mg, 0.022 mmol) in a mixture of 1,4-dioxane (0.5 mL) and hydrogen chloride solution (4 N in 1,4-dioxane) (0.5 mL, 2.00 mmol) was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes and then concentrated in vacuo. The residue was partitioned between saturated aqueous NaHCO3 solution and dichloromethane. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound (4.3 mg, 49%). 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ ppm 0.83-1.02 (m, 4 H) 1.19-3.25 (m, 13 H) 3.49-3.97 (m, 2 H) 4.42 (d, J=17.90 Hz, 1 H) 4.58-4.90 (m, 1 H) 5.20-5.42 (m, 1 H) 7.20-7.42 (m, 5 H) 7.86-8.07 (m, 2 H); MS (ESI) m/z 408 (M+H)+.
