2,6-Dimethoxy-benzoyl chloride (81 mg, 0.41 mmol) was added to a solution of methyl-(4-pyridin-2-yl-but-3-ynyl)-amine (50 mg, 0.31 mmol) and DIEA (69 μL, 0.41 mmol) in chloroform (2 mL) at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 10 min., at room temperature for 14 hours, quenched by the addition of water and extracted twice with chloroform. The organic phase was washed with saturated solution of NaHCO3, brine, dried over MgSO4, filtered and evaporated. The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (DCM/MeOH 95:5) to yield 2,6-dimethoxy-N-methyl-N-(4-(pyridin-2-yl)but-3-ynyl)benzamide (12 mg, 37 μmol, 12%).
