A reaction flask was charged with 3-(2-cyclopropylmethoxyethylidene)-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octane-8-carboxylic acid t-butyl ester (138LH49) (0.115 g, 0.37 mmol) in DCM (2 mL). TFA (0.5 mL) was added and the reaction was stirred at rt for 3 h. The reaction mixture was quenched with 1 M NaOH and the product extracted into diethyl ether. The combined organic phases were dried over Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated to give the crude title compound (0.090 g).
