Reaction Steps
Prepared according to the procedure described as in Step B for example 1 from 4-Bromobenzenethiol (1.03 g, 5.5 mmol) and 1-(5-chloro-4-nitro-2-thienyl)ethanone (1.14 g, 5.5 mmol). The title compound was obtained as an orange solid (1.15 g, 58% yield). 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ: 8.07 (1H, s) 7.68 (2H, d, J=8.69 Hz), 7.53 (2H, d, J=8.69 Hz), 2.49 (3H, s).
