TFA (4 ml) was added at 0° C. to a solution of (R)-methyl 3-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)-7-fluoro-2,3-dihydro-1H-indene-5-carboxylate (0.85 g, 2.75 mmol, 1.0 eq.) in DCM (10 ml), and the mixture was stirred for 1 hour at RT.
