Reaction Steps
A mixture of 2.6 g. (0.01 mole) of N,N-dimethyl5-(2-bromoacetyl)furan-2-carboxamide, 2.02 g. (0.01 mole) of (N-n-hexylguanyl)thiourea and 75 ml. of acetone was heated under reflux for 4 hours, and then it was cooled and filtered. This gave 2.3 g. of the title compound as a white solid, mp. 155°-158° C.
