Procedure
A solution of 2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-3-(pyridin-3-yl)-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)butan-2-ol (diastereoisomeric pair B from Example 14) (1.00 g) and 85% w/w 3-chloroperoxybenzoic acid (1.30 g) in dichloromethane (20 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 18 hours and then evaporated. The residue was stirred with ether and the solid was filtered off and dried to give the title compound (0.93 g), m.p. 190°-193°.
