Reaction Steps
A solution of 3-(N-methyl octadecylamino) 1-trityloxypropan-2-ol 6b (6 10-3M), pyridine (1 ml) and methylisocyanate (1.2 ml) in dry benzene (45 ml), was heated at 40° C. for three days. After elimination of the solvent, the residue was purified by column chromatography with CH2Cl2 as eluent, to give 7b.
