Procedure
A mixture of 0.35 g (1.4 mmol) of 3-chloro-8,9,10,11-tetrahydro-7H-pyrido[3',4':4,5]pyrrolo[3,2-c]quinoline 0.185 (1.6 mmol) of phenylisocyanate and 10 ml of tetrahydrofuran is stirred at room temperature for 3 days. The reaction mixture is filtered and the solid collected is triturated in ether to yield 0.35 g (68%) of the title compound as an off white solid: m.p.>260° C.; m/e 299.
