0.5 cm3 of trifluoroacetic acid is added to a solution of 0.2 g of tert-butyl [6,6-diphenyl-1-(4-toluenesulphonyl)-6,7-dihydro-1H-indazol-3-yl]carbamate in 2 cm3 of dichloromethane, cooled to a temperature in the region of 0° C. After one hour at a temperature in the region of 0° C., the reaction mixture is stirred for one hour at a temperature in the region of 20° C. and then concentrated to dryness under reduced pressure (13 kPa). The residue is taken up in 25 cm3 of dichloromethane and 10 cm3 of water. The pH is brought to about 10 by addition of a normal aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. After separation of the phases by settling, the aqueous phase is extracted with twice 10 cm3 of dichloromethane. The combined organic phases are successively washed with once 20 cm3 of 0.1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution, twice 30 cm3 of water and once 30 cm3 of saturated aqueous sodium chloride solution and then dried over magnesium sulphate, filtered and concentrated to dryness under reduced pressure (13 kPa). The residue is taken up in 3 cm3 of diethyl ether, washed with twice 1 cm3 of diethyl ether and then dried under reduced pressure (13 kPa) at a temperature in the region of 50° C. 0.08 g of 6,6-diphenyl-1-(4-toluenesulphonyl)-6,7-dihydro-1H-indazol-3-ylamine is thus obtained in the form of a white solid, the characteristics of which are as follows:
