Reaction Steps
(+/−)-6-Ethyl-2-phenyl-piperidin-3-ylamine (102 mg, 0.50 mmol) and (−) dibenzoyltartaric acid were dissolved by heating in 5 mL 2-propanol and 1 mL water. The resultant solid (26 mg, 25%) was determined to be 94% enriched in the (2S,3S,6S)-enantiomer.
