Procedure
tert-Butyl 2-[(4-{[(1-adamantylmethyl)amino]carbonyl}-5-chloropyridin-2-yl)(2-hydroxyethyl)amino]ethylcarbamate (Example 13(i)) (0.013 g) was dissolved in anhydrous hydrogen chloride in 1,4-dioxane (4M, 2 ml) and the resulting mixture was allowed to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. The mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the titled product (0.020 g).
