A mixture of 0.01 mole of 3-chloro-3-phenyl-2-propenal and 0.01 mole of (3-amino-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)phenyl-methanone in 25 ml of acetic acid was refluxed for 6 hours. The solvent was removed in vacuo and the product isolated as described in Example 1, giving the desired product as crystals, mp 163°-165° C.
