To a solution of 4-quinolinylamine (1 mmol) in CH2Cl2 at room temperature was added slowly 3-Chloro-4-methylbenzenisocyanate (1.1 mmol). The reaction was allowed to stir for 2 h, and precipitation occurred. The reaction mixture was filtered and a white solid collected. This was recrystallized from hexane/EtOAc to afford white crystals.
