Procedure
11.5 g of 6-(1-methyl-1-methylmercaptoethyl)-3-isopropyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,3,5-oxadiazin-2-one (Example 1) are dissolved in 100 ml of chloroform. The resultant solution is cooled to -10° C., and a solution of 9.5 g of m-chloroperbenzoic acid in 120 ml of chloroform is then added dropwise. The reaction mixture is subsequently stirred for 1 hour at room temperature and then concentrated. The residual crude product is recrystallised from a 1:1 mixture of ethyl acetate and hexane, affording the title compound of the formula ##STR7## with a melting point of 120-°121° C. (compound 2).
