TFA (0.6 ml) was added to a cooled (0° C.) solution of tert-butyl 8-(4-fluorophenyl)-2,8-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-2-carboxylate (0.31 mmol, 1.0 eq.) in methylene chloride (2 ml) and the reaction mixture was stirred at 25° C. for 1 h.
