TFA (1.5 ml) is added to a solution of tert-butyl 8-(2-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-4-yl)-2,8-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-2-carboxylate (0.64 mmol, 1.0 eq.) in methylene chloride (5 ml) at 0° C. and the reaction mixture is stirred at 25° C. for 1 h.
