TFA (1 ml) was added to a cooled (0° C.) solution of tert-butyl 8-(8-(trifluoromethyl)quinolin-4-yl)-2,8-diazaspiro[4.5]decane-2-carboxylate (0.69 mmol, 1.0 eq.) in methylene chloride (4 ml) and the reaction mixture was stirred at 25° C. for 2 h.
